Effective learning materials help students learn the skills required to be competent in the rapidly evolving modern era. AI can help professors create tools and  assessments that improve student learning outcomes. Creating practical tools and assessments, such as quiz questions, is a time burden on professors, especially if they elect to provide explanations for answers to help their students learn. This talk will discuss an overview of the current literature, provide example use cases for professors, and go over future research directions.
